As a hotel proprietor Toby is a self-confessed jack-of-all-trades master-of-none but enjoys hospitality, marketing, building, horses and boats; and most importantly the Cornish community. He joined international firm Savills in 2005, heading up their business in Cornwall, and later as a director sitting on various national management boards. The Family. A 9th Generation Cornishman now returned to the county he is so passionate about. Returning to live in his native Cornwall in 2002, Kim has been CEO of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce since April 2012. Having founded Sipsmith Gin Distillery in London in 2009, he is now Chairman of the brand that spearheaded the rebirth of gin in the UK. Passionate about his home county and the sea, he is also a trustee of the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth and has sailed since an early age, having competed in many championships at home and abroad. Prior to returning to his family roots in Cornwall he led an international charity facilitating links across the global Anglican Communion, having previously led churches in both London and Paris. In 1986 he co-founded Brass Tacks Publishing which, under his stewardship, became one of the top ten UK customer magazine and website publishers. Jonathan has lived in Cornwall since he was three, and has worked as an estate agent since 1993. Jane lives in Cornwall where they have their family business, a holiday park, bringing up her family here for the last 30 years she has fallen in love with Cornwall and dedicated her time to making it a better place. She worked in Estate Agency and then National Maritime Museum Cornwall before opening a business in Falmouth and having a family with her husband, David. Shortly after he arrived in Truro he led an independent review into the Government’s response to Christian persecution, and is a Trustee of a number of other Cornish charities. She first joined CCF as a volunteer and now as a Trustee particularly enjoys using her skills to help with the Foundation’s people management. Despite a Cornish mining ancestry, Gill was born in Hampshire and grew up in Devon. For the last few years she has enjoyed several voluntary roles in the county, including chairing the Friends’ Committee of the CCF and sitting on the Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair Committee. Until recently, he had his own practice as a corporate finance adviser on mergers and acquisitions. Jonathan lives in Falmouth with his wife and three young children. For eight years, he was a governor of Falmouth University, the specialist arts university in Cornwall. He is married to Katie, a corporate lawyer. Following her parents move to Trebah Gardens in the early 1980’s, Gill spent many happy holidays in Cornwall. whose passions include the great outdoors, regenerative forms of agriculture, food & drink. Kim is also a director of South West Investment Group and of Creative Kernow, a member of Truro & Penwith College Employment & Business Board and of WaveMAT, on the FEAST steering group and an advisory board member of Golden Tree Productions. He is on the council of the Royal College of Art, where he is chair of the audit and risk committee, and is a member of the audit committee at The Courtauld Institute. To rectify matters his grandfather flew him in a light aircraft back from Chatham to Cornwall with the old family nanny in attendance. He helped to found the C100 Club (business arm of the CCF), and has been a CCF trustee for 8 years. Samuel married Caroline Goldsworthy . They have two teenage daughters and live in St. Ewe. He is married to Ruth and lives with her and Noggin the Dog on the Trelissick estate. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, Tim Smith runs his own accountancy business, Nevill Hovey & Co, in Boyton. A 9th Generation Cornishman now returned to the county he is so passionate about. In this time she has been High Sherriff, with a focus on raising awareness and funds for the community and mental health. Deborah is Cornish by descent, (nee Vivian); leaving Cornwall at the age of 3 she returned after the death of her husband in 1997, since returning she has worked as a consultant for the Eden Project, was the grants assessor in Cornwall for the Henry Smith Foundation and is involved in a number of local charities.
