The rooms near the pool apparently are much smaller and don't have sunken showers. Entertainment is low key (but great) and the pace of life is laid back. The most relaxing holiday ever - from the lounge at Gatwick (included in Virgin’s package) to the arrival at the airport (no pushy baggage handlers but take a pen with you to fill out the entry paperwork), then a longish transfer (1.5 hours) to arrive at a quietly lit East Winds and a surreal cacophony of birds and frogs. East Winds is home to what many consider the finest beach on the island and our guests share it with very few others just like them; travellers looking for personalised care and all-inclusive service in the most authentic of Caribbean experiences.

There were a couple of extra special trips this time, the one we enjoyed most was the day trip on the 'Black Pearl ' pirate ship which included everyone staying at the time, with the hotel chefs providing a delicious buffet lunch. This was our third visit and what a wonderful time we had with friends old and new and of course our amazing friends on the staff. Cuisine at East Winds is of the highest standard.
